Exciting news! Humphrey will be appearing at Maryport Library on 6th November for a special storytelling event! It's free but you'll need to book on Eventbrite via the library or our Facebook page please.
Every Wednesday, 11am - 2pm: Finds handling
Get hands-on with history. Visitors can get hands-on with real and replica objects, lead by one of our team of volunteers. Included in museum admission.
Every Thursday at 1pm and every Sunday at 2pm: Guided tour of the Roman fort
Museum visitors can explore the earthworks of the Roman fort, led by the volunteer guides. The tours last for 30-45 minutes and are subject to the weather. The fort is situated in farmland, which is uneven and there may be sheep present. Suitable footwear is recommended. We are grateful to the landowners (Cultura Trust) and their tenants for supporting the guided tours. Dogs are not allowed on the tours (except registered guide/assistance dogs).
Half-term Family craft event Tuesday 27th October 2-4pm
Come and join us in half term and make a fun and spooky mask for Halloween. All included in the cost of entry. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.
